Inkcision began as a passion project for Daniel, a surgeon in training with a deep love for fountain pens. What started as a personal hobby grew into a journey of discovery within the vibrant pen community.
Frustrated by the lack of nib grinding services in Australia, Daniel taught himself the craft—transforming ordinary nibs into precision-tuned writing instruments. He developed his techniques on JOWO #6 nibs, becoming very familiar with them before finally taking the plunge and grinding his own Montblanc and Nakaya nibs.
As demand grew and fellow enthusiasts encouraged him to take the leap, Inkcision was born. Now, Daniel offers expertly ground nibs and custom services to help others find the perfect writing experience.
