Ensure that there is no converter attached to the pen
Using a towel or tissue in one hand, hold the top of the nib and bottom of the feed currently in the pen with a pincer-like grip and gentle unscrew (turning anti-clockwise) the nib until the unit slides out of the grip section. It may be better to unscrew the actual section and hold the nib unit steady to avoid moving the nib on the feed and misaligning the tines.
Holding the new nib unit top and bottom as previous, screw the unit in (or screw on the section onto the nib unit) until it stops screwing in - do not screw too tightly!
Check the alignment of the nib over the feed and in the tines. Sometimes the act of screwing the nib in may cause the nib to sit out of alignment with the feed, resulting in misaligned tines and very scratchy writing
